The death toll due to swine flu in Telangana has touched 31.
As per the swine flu bulletin issued on Monday, of 1,854 samples tested from 1st January till 1st February, 629 were found to be positive. 31 people died due to other complications and swine flu.
On Sunday, 118 samples were tested. Of them, 35 were found positive.
"The number of positive cases reported in the last six days, upto 1st February, is showing a declining trend. The figures are 53, 21, 35, 26, 45 and 35," said the bulletin.
Although there is a decline in the positive cases, citizens have been advised to take precautions such as reporting to the hospital upon the first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pains.
Citizens have also been advised to avoid going to crowded places, clean their hands as frequently as possible, avoid shaking hands, and cover their noses/mouths while sneezing and coughing. (INN)
