The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that a rise in the maximum temperature by one or two degrees is very likely in Telangana State during the next five days, and that multiple places of the State are likely to record a maximum temperature of between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius.
The IMD also revealed that heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail over some parts of the districts of Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Karimangar, Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Medak and Nalgonda.
Hyderabad today recorded 43 degrees Celsius, the highest in April in the past 43 years.
