Rains Hit Several Telangana Districts
Several districts across Telangana including Hyderabad received light to moderate rainfall today.

Several districts across Telangana received light to moderate rainfall today.
Several places in the northern Telangana districts witnessed moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightening and gusty winds. The combined Karimnagar district received heavy rains accompanied by gusty winds. Apart from the district headquarters, Manakonduru and Huzurabad too received rains.
Peddapalli, the Rajanna Sircilla district headquarters, and Boinpally and Vemulawada mandals recorded moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and lightening.
Malyala and Pegadapalli in Jagtial district received heavy rains at several places with gusty winds. Khammam district witnessed strong winds, and the highest rainfall was recorded in Vemsur.
Kannaigudem, Eturunagaram and Tadvai mandals of Mulugu district; Illendu in Kothagudem district; and Vankidi, Chintalamanepalli, Penchikalpet, Kagaznagar, Kautala and Sirpur (T) in Kumrambheem Asifabad district too received heavy rains.
Rains cooled down the hot weather in the Medchal Malkajgiri district. Rains accompanied by thunder and lightening occurred at many places in the district. Medchal, Kandlakoya, Dundigal, Gandimaisamma, Miyapur, Chandanagar, Gachibowli and Rayadurg received rains. Hailstorms occurred at several places in Miyapur.
The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad too received heavy rains, and the weather cooled down due to them. People heaved a sigh of relief after enduring almost two weeks of a heat wave.
The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of rains in north Hyderabad during the next 24 hours.
