Six-Member Committee To Probe Gulzar Houz Fire
The committee will prepare a detailed report on the origin of the Gulzar Houz fire, the measures taken in its aftermath, and other relevant aspects.

The Telangana government today announced the formation of a six-member committee to investigate the recent fire accident at Gulzar Houz, which tragically claimed the lives of 17 members of a family.
The committee comprises GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan, Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty, Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, Director General of Fire Services Y Nagi Reddy, HYDRAA Commissioner A V Ranganath and TSSPDCL CMD Md Musharraf Faruqui.
The committee has been tasked with preparing a detailed report on the origin of the Gulzar Houz fire, the measures taken in its aftermath, and other relevant aspects.
In a statement, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who also oversees Hyderabad district, said that the report would not only identify the causes of the incident but also include specific recommendations to prevent similar tragedies and raise public awareness, and propose necessary operational reforms.
The minister added that upon the committee submitting its report, it would be reviewed by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and other senior officials, who would take appropriate action.
Prabhakar also said that the safety of citizens was paramount and that the government would not tolerate any lapses in public safety.
