Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy on Monday claimed that the Telangana resolution would be defeated in the State Legislative Assembly.
Talking to reporters here, Anam said that the Congress MLAs from the Seemandhra region would vote against the Telangana resolution so as to stop the division of Andhra Pradesh. He hoped that the Congress party would not issue a whip when the Telangana resolution comes for voting in the House.
Anam also denied reprots about some ministers having differences with Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy would remain on post till 2014, and that the next elections would be fought under his leadership. (INN)
