One more case of the Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus that causes Covid-19 has been registered in the state.

The authorities of health department of the state said that the new variant has infected a 23-year-old man from Hayathnagar.

They said that the man had come to the city from Sudan, and was unvaccinated.

He has been shifted to the Gachibowli-based TIMS.

With this, the total number of Omicron cases in the state has now reached 25.

State government authorities have alerted all the line departments to hold rapid Covid tests in the area where the person lives.
