The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has postponed the joint meeting of its Politburo, Parliamentary Party, Legislature Party and State Executive to March 3.
This crucial meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on March 1. Sources say that the meeting will now be held on March 3 and discuss the post-bifurcation scenario in the Telangana region. The reasons for the postponement of the meeting could not be ascertained, although sources say that some leaders have expressed their inability to reach Hyderabad by Saturday.
The party's decision-making and influential wings are also likely to discuss the possible merger or alliance with the Congress party. Although AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh had claimed that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao gave positive indications about the merger, the TRS leaders expressed displeasure after Medak MP Vijayashanti was admitted into the Congress on Thursday.
