Government whip Jayaprakash Reddy (a.k.a. Jagga Reddy) accuses the Telangana Rashtra Samhiti of misleading the people over the CM's remarks regarding Telangana.
Government whip Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy, on Monday, accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders of misleading the people over Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's remarks that he would not release funds for Telangana.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, Jagga Reddy said that the Chief Minister had made a remark during a debate in the state Legislative Assembly, and that those remarks were in a completely different context.
"However," he said, "by extracting a single line from a debate, the TRS leaders are trying to mislead the people against the Chief Minister."
Jagga Reddy asked TRS MLA K Harish Rao to explain whether the Chief Minister had ever stopped or refused funds for his Siddipet Assembly constituency. He said Harish Rao had also gotten funds sanctioned from former Chief Ministers Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and K Rosaiah.
"When funds were not refused for Siddipet, how can the Chief Minister stop funds for the Telangana region?" he asked.
The Sangareddy MLA also slammed TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, and sarcastically remarked that he should be felicitated for cheating the people systematically.
Accusing KCR of misleading the people with wrong statements, he asked KCR to explain his contribution for the region's development when he was the Union minister for about one year, and during his time as a Lok Sabha MP. (INN)
