Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandra Shekar Rao on Friday withdrew his call for a Telangana bandh on Saturday.
Addressing media person, KCR said that the bandh call had been withdrawn as the State government had accepted the main demands of students and the TRS, and had agreed to postpone the sub-inspector recruitment exams.
The TRS chief also demanded that Chief Minister K Rosaiah take an all-party delegation to New Delhi, and see to it that the centre deleted Clause 14 (F) of the Presidential Order.
Earlier, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, had announced that in view of maintaining law and order in Telangana region, the government had taken the opinion of all people in to consideration, and had decided to
postpone the conduction of sub-inspectors recruitment exams
The government stated that it would conduct the exams in an amicable environment after the issue of free zone was resolved.
