The political parties of the State are all in full throttle in their campaigning for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections.
The ruling BRS had announced its MLA candidates a month ago, and is at the forefront of the campaigning. CM K Chandrashekar Rao is addressing public meetings almost every day across the State.
The Congress is also furiously charging ahead with the announcement of its candidates on the one hand, and bus yatras and public meetings on the other. The BJP has already announced three lists of the party candidates.
The two national parties have delayed their lists of the candidates due to non-finalization of seat-sharing arrangements with other political parties. The BJP - Jana Sena alliance in Telangana has finally been finalised. As part of the alliance, the saffron party is ready to allot 8 to 9 Assembly seats to Jana Sena, including two seats in the Greater Hyderabad limits, one of them being Kukatpally. The BJP is likely to contest in all the remaining Assembly seats.
Over 30 candidates from the Jana Sena were to contest the Assembly elections earlier, but now that has been limited to the seats allotted to them by the BJP as part of the alliance.
"We will have to wait till the results of the Telangana Assembly elections to know the extent to which the chemistry of these two parties will yield good results," an analyst said, adding that this would also have an impact on AP politics, too.
