Nominations Invited For Governor's Awards

Nominations are being invited for the Governor's Awards for Excellence for the year 2024, that aim to recognise individuals, institutions, organizations, societies and trusts that have made exemplary contributions during the last five years starting from 2019, in the following four fields:

1. Environment Protection,
2. Welfare of Divyangjan,
3. Sports and Games, and
4. Culture

In each of the fields there will be two categories of awards - one for individuals and the other for the institutions/organizations/societies/trusts.

Each award carries prize money of Rs 2 lakh and a citation.

Individuals who have excelled in any of the fields above or have overwhelmingly supported/promoted one of them for the last five years may apply in the individual category.

Institutions/organizations/societies/trusts who have delivered outstanding development in or provided exemplary support to the above fields for the last five years may apply under the institutional category.

The awards aim to encourage and honour outstanding achievements in the above four categories. All nominations will be thoroughly scrutinized by a specially constituted selection committee.

Eligible individuals who are residents of Telangana, and institutions/organizations/societies/trusts engaged in exceptional work (within Telangana) in the aforementioned categories for the last five years are invited to apply.

In case of rare and exceptional institutions/individuals, others may also submit nominations proposing such individuals/institutions for the awards. Nominations can be submitted either online or offline. For offline submissions: the filled-in nomination forms following the prescribed format available in the Telangana Raj Bhavan website https://governor.telangana.gov.in may can be sent to "The Principal Secretary to the Governor, Governor's Secretariat, Raj Bhavan, Somajiguda, Hyderabad - 500041" along with all supporting documents by Speed Post, or delivered in person. For online submissions: The applicants may upload the nomination forms and other required supporting documents on the Raj Bhavan website.

The deadline for submission of nominations is 5 pm on November 23, 2024. The awardees will be honoured by the Governor on Republic Day, January 26, 2025.
