Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEC) C Sudharshan Reddy today issued show-cause notices to nine registered unrecognised political parties (RUPPs) in the State, directing them to explain why they should not be removed from the Election Commission of India's register.
The parties are:
All India Azaad Congress Party (Hyderabad) All India BC OBC Party (Medchal-Malkajgiri) BC Bharatha Desam Party (Hyderabad) Bharat Labour Praja Party (Bhadradri-Kothagudem) Loksatta Party (Hyderabad) Mahajana Mandali Party (Hyderabad) Nava Bharat National Party (Medchal-Malkajgiri) Telangana Pragati Samithi (Medchal-Malkajgiri) Telangana Independent Party (Medchal-Malkajgiri)
According to a memo dated August 12, 2025, the notices were sent to the District Election Officers (DEOs) and Collectors of Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Bhadradri-Kothagudem districts.
The parties have been told to furnish detailed responses and recommendations for submission to the ECI in New Delhi by August 25, 2025.
The DEOs have been instructed to serve the notices, publish the names of the parties in national and local newspapers, and give the issue wide publicity on social media.
