Kamalapuram Congress MLA Veerashiva Reddy, on Thursday, announced his resignation from the MLA's post in support of the demand to keep Andhra Pradesh united.
Talking to reporters after sending his resignation to Speaker Nadendla Manohar and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana, Veerashiva Reddy demanded other leaders too should follow suit to stall the division of the state.
He said that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, YSRCP honorary president Vijayamma and other leaders should also resign from their posts for united Andhra Pradesh.
Stating that he was firm on his resignation, Veerashiva Reddy said that he would stage a dharna at the Speaker's chambers if his resignation was not accepted. (INN)
