Minor Irrigation minister T G Venkatesh and Law minister Erasu Pratapa Reddy, on Thursday, denied reports that they have resigned from the cabinet to oppose the division of Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, the Rayalaseema ministers said that they would abide by the decision that will be taken by the Congress High Command on the statehood issue.
However, they said, they will try, by all means, to prevent the division of the state. Venkatesh reiterated that if the Centre decides to support the formation of Telangana, then he will insist on the formation of a separate Rayalaseema state.
The Rayalaseema ministers said that they were ready to sacrifice anything to keep Andhra Pradesh united. (INN)
