Former minister Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Tuesday.
The Konda couple was formally welcomed into the party by TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao at Telangana Bhavan.
Speaking to reporters earlier, Surekha had said that she had decided to join the TRS as it was the only party that could rebuild Telangana.
When reminded about her criticism against KCR, she said that she had misunderstood him.
Welcoming Surekha's decision, TRS leader K Tarakarama Rao hoped that the party will get stronger in the Warangal district. He advised the TRS workers to forget about winning posts, and to concentrate on the future.
Earlier in the day, the Konda couple called on KCR and discussed their future course of action. KCR has reportedly offered the Warangal East Assembly seat to Surekha and an MLC seat to Murali. (INN)
