Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamalnath on Thursday expressed confidence that the Telangana Bill would be passed in Rajya Sabha today.
Speaking to media persons, Kamalnath said that the Telangana Bill has been listed in the Rajya Sabha. However, he accused the BJP of changing its stand on the Bill. He said that the Bill was passed in Lok Sabha without amendments, and that now the BJP was insisting on carrying out amendments in the Rajya Sabha. He requested opposition parties to pass the Bill.
Kamalnath also assured that the Centre would take steps to provide adequate resources, revenues and facilities to the Seemandhra region. He said that the concerns of Seemandhra people are valid, and that justice would be done to them. (INN)
