Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy was today arrested by the Nizamabad police when he was going to console the family members of a government teacher Saraswathi, who had died in Babapur of Bheemgal mandal of the district.
The police took Reddy to the Kamnarpally police station.
TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy condemned the arrest of the MLC, and asked CM K Chandrashekar Rao if it was a crime to visit the family members of victims, and if the CM was considering leaders who were fighting over public problems as thieves.
He said that it was the constitutional right of the opposition leaders to question the mistakes of the state government, and said that the "feudal" rule of KCR was crossing its limits in Telangana.
