TRS candidate G Devi Prasad Rao described the results of the elections for the Mahabubnagar - Ranga Reddy - Hyderabad graduates' constituency of the Telangana Legislative Council as the defeat of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Reacting to his defeat by BJP candidate N Ramachandra Rao, Prasad alleged that all opposition parties had unitedly conspired to defeat the TRS.
He also admitted that the unemployed youth and some employees were unhappy with the government over the delay in the recruitment process and the payment of fitment allowance.
However, he said that 40,500+ votes being polled by him was a clear indication that the welfare schemes being implemented by the TRS government had been well-received by the people.
He thanked all the employees and the youth who voted for him. He also congratulated Ramachandra Rao on winning the election.
Devi Prasad said that the reasons for his defeat would be analysed and discussed in the party soon. (INN)
