The Telangana Rashtra Lecturers Samithi conducted a mass dharna at Gun Park, demanding that the Centre introduce a Telangana Bill in Parliament.

The Telangana Rashtra Lecturers Samithi on Wednesday conducted a mass dharna at Gun Park, demanding that the Centre introduce a Telangana Bill in Parliament.

Talking to reporters, the Samithi's president Sridhar said that lecturers from the Telangana region have boycotted their duties and would continue to do so till a Telangana state is formed.

Besides, lecturers would also participate in dharnas and other agitational programs across the region, he said. He added that the they would organise one-day hunger strikes in all Telangana districts on Thursday.

Later, the lecturers went to Indira Park to express their solidariy with other associations holding protests demanding statehood for Telangana. (INN)
