Telangana Students Joint Action Committee chairman Pidamarti Ravi, on Monday, announced that the students' JAC would organize a "Chalo New Delhi" program on 20 April.
Talking to media persons, Ravi said that the "Chalo New Delhi" call was aimed at mounting pressure on the Centre to pass a resolution on Telangana in the budget session of Parliament.
He said that the Centre must pass a resolution on Telangana before the end of this session of Parliament. Else, the students' JAC would intensify its struggle for Telangana, he warned.
Ravi said that the violence in Osmania University had taken place due to the controversial recommendations in the 8th chapter of Justice Srikrishna Committee.
He also came down heavily on the "Seemandhra media" for making systematic efforts to dilute the separate statehood agitation.
He warned that both the centre and the state government would be responsible for any serious consequences in the state. (INN)
