Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram, on Wednesday, came down heavily on the Congress for delaying the announcement of a separate Telangana state.
Addressing members of the Telangana Students Joint Action Committee at the JAC office, after releasing a poster of the Vidyarthi Garjana, Kodandaram said that the JAC would launch a campaign against the Congress over its failure to announce its decision on a Telangana state.
He said the JAC would "expose the true face of Congress" in a bus yatra organized by the Telangana Students Joint Action Committee, and that it would also grill the government on the issue.
Earlier, the Telangana Students Joint Action Committee announced that it would organize a Vidyarthi Garjana in front of the Arts College in Osmania University on 15 February, demanding the announcement of a separate Telangana state by the Centre.
The students' JAC also said that as part of its steps towards ntensifying the Telangana agitation, it would stage a dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on 27 March to mount pressure on the Centre to introduce a bill on Telangana in the Budget session of Parliament.
The students' JAC leaders will also take out bus yatras in Telangana region where by-elections have been announced, to express solidarity to elected representatives who had resigned for the Telangana cause. (INN)
