Telangana Deadline Extended

The committee is also scheduled to reach Andhra Pradesh in the first week of April
Hyderabad | 19th March 2010
The 5-member Srikrishna committee met on Thursday, the 18th March in New Delhi, for the 3rd time since it was set up. It met with the agenda of assessing the steps taken up so far, and separating the responses on the demands of a separate Telangana and a united Andhra Pradesh.

According to the committee, responses poured in from political parties, NGOs, organizations, and essentially, the common man. Different aspects, such as historical significance, social, political, economic and various others, were considered, said the committee members.

The Srikrishna Committe is now looking to employ a 'help wing' to read all the responses and make a note of the important issues raised in them.

Heeding to the demands from various groups in Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday, the Telangana Committee decided to extend the deadline for filing views on the contentious statehood issue from March 31st to April 10th. The committee is also scheduled to reach Andhra Pradesh in the first week of April, to launch its consultation process with the general public and political parties.

sooner or later, bifurcation of larger states is inevitable for better public administration. so, the sooner the better.
The extended period is a great opportunity for us, the Hyderabadis, to submit our perceptions, views, models, parameters, views and even perceptions to Srikrishna commission. This goes a long way in maintaining harmony and peaceful coexistence amongst the people of all the regions beyond the influence of some of our bad political leaders.
