Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram, on Friday, stated that the JAC would not support any candidate in the Mahabubnagar Assembly segment and would leave the decision to the people of the constituency.
Talking to media persons, Kodandaram said the JAC has left the decision to the people of constituency as both the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Bharatiya Janata Party were constituents of the JAC. He said that the contest in Mahabubnagar was friendly, and that people of the constituency must vote for either BJP or TRS candidates who support Telangana statehood.
Kondandaram reiterated that the JAC would make efforts to ensure the victory of all candidates who had resigned for the cause of statehood in the by-elections.
He called upon the people to vote out the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party for "cheating" them on the Telangana statehood issue. (INN)
