The Telangana High Court today asked the CBI not to arrest Kadapa MP Y S Avinash Reddy, being investigated in Y S Vivekananda Reddy's murder case, till Monday.
It also asked the CBI to submit the complete details of the case before it on Monday.
It passed these orders while dealing with a petition filed by the MP urging it to issue orders to the CBI to not take any adverse action against him in connection with the case.
Arguing the case, the counsel for the MP told the court that his client did not have confidence that the CBI was recording his statement in a proper manner.
Responding to the argument, the counsel for the CBI told the HC that the agency was video recording its inquiry.
The HC asked the CBI about the status of the video recording. The counsel for the CBI then told the HC that CBI SP Ram Singh had brought the audio and video recordings of the inquiry to the court in a hard disk, and that the agency was ready to hand over the case file to the court. Following this, the HC asked the CBI to submit the hard disk and the case details in a sealed cover to it on Monday.
