Grama Jyothi Works Start With Sub-Committee Meeting
A Cabinet sub-committee chaired by K T Rama Rao met at the Secretariat to prepare guidelines for Grama Jyothi, Telangana's rural development initiative.
A Cabinet sub-committee met at the Secretariat on Tuesday to prepare guidelines for the implementation of the "Grama Jyothi", a flagship program of the Telangana government aimed at the all-round development of all villages in the Telangana districts.
Committee chief and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao chaired the meeting attended by members including the Finance Minister E Rajender, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Roads And Buildings Minister T Nageshwar Rao, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna and other top officials of various departments.
The sub-committee which met for the first time discussed issues related to the Grama Jyothi, and the guidelines needed for the program.
KTR is learnt to have shared his views and ideas for the allocation of funds to and use of funds on a variety of works relating to drinking water, health, education, electricity, sanitation, roads and other facilities in villages.
KTR is likely to submit a report to the government soon.
