Telangana BJP senior leader N Indrasena Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the Telangana government was planning to pass the annual State Budget through an ordinance.
Speaking to media persons at the State BJP office, Reddy said that the TRS government was reportedly considering the option, but that it was not empowered to pass the Budget in such a way, and that it would be a straight violation of the Constitution if it were done.
He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was afraid of facing the Opposition in view of his failures during the last 3 months in power, and was therefore seeking an escape route to avoid facing the Opposition Parties.
Indrasena Reddy alleged that KCR had been giving new twists to the issues of farm loan waivers and fee reimbursement.
The BJP leader also alleged that there were no Vice-Chancellors, Syndicates or Boards in five universities in the State.
He added that although many universities were facing a shortage of funds, neither the Chief Minister nor the education minister was in a position to address those issues.
He said that instead of concentrating on subjects of immediate importance, the State Government undertook a futile exercise in the Household Survey.
He said that the employees and students who played a key role in the formation of Telangana were upset with the functioning of the TRS government. (INN)
