The TRS government is planning to launch several developmental schemes from Dussera.
This was disclosed by Deputy Chief Minister Dr T Rajaiah while addressing a press conference at the State Secretariat on Saturday.
According to him, the government has almost completed the process of meticulous planning for the effective implementation of all the schemes.
He said that all existing and potential loopholes had been identified, and that check-points had been created to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reached the deserving beneficiaries.
Rajaiah said that the State government would soon resolve all the problems being faced by farmers.
Steps had been taken to provide irrigation facilities to 1 lakh acres of land in each Assembly segment in a phased manner.
He also expressed hope that Pranahita-Chevella would be accorded the status of National Project by the Centre.
When asked about the controversy over Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao pulling him up in a public function in Warangal, the Deputy Chief minister reiterated that KCR was like a father figure to all TRS men, and therefore, there was nothing wrong if he pulled up his ministers or legislators in the interests of the public.
He accused the Opposition Parties of politicising the issue.
Rajaiah alleged that the Opposition Parties were trying to make a mountain out of a molehill by blowing KCR's comments out of proportion.
He ridiculed the Congress leaders for their criticism of KCR, and said that the same Congress leaders including K Jana Reddy and Ponnala Lakshmaiah remained silent when the then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy refused to grant funds for the farmers of Telangana.
He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy's comments against farmers were much harsher than those made by KCR against him. (INN)
