Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan today greeted the people of the two Telugu states on the eve of the Maha Sivaratri festival on March 4.
The Governor said, "On the auspicious occasion of Maha Sivaratri, I convey my heartiest greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Maha Sivaratri is the most auspicious festival for millions of devotees of Lord Shiva, and the day is observed with fervour and devotion. It is considered highly auspicious to worship Lord Siva on this day. May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us. I once again convey my warm greetings to all on this auspicious occasion."
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao too conveyed his greetings. "I pray Lord Siva to bless the State and its people with good health, happiness and prosperity," he said.
