Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Vijayadasami.
The CM said, "Vijayadasami is celebrated to remember Lord Rama's victory over the demon king Ravana, to mark the triumph of good over evil. I pray that the goddess bless the people of Telangana to lead happy and prosperous lives always."
Governor E S L Narasimhan too extended greetings to the peoples of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The Governor said the Navaratri festival symbolized the supremacy of dharma - i. e. the triumph of good over evil. "I pray that the Divine Mother showers Her blessings on all of us on the occasion of Dasara," he added.
