Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Governor E S L Narasimhan greeted the people of the state on the eve of Maha Sivaratri.
The CM conveyed his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion saying that he was praying God to bless the people of the state with a peaceful and happy life.
He also asked the officials to make proper arrangements at all the Siva temples in the state as there would be a heavy rush of devotees to the temples.
Governor Narasimhan conveyed his greetings to the people of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
In a message, the Governor said, "Maha Sivarathri is an important festival, and the day is observed with austerity, fervor and devotion. May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us. I once again convey my warm greetings to all the people on this auspicious occasion."
