Governor, CM Extend Maha Sivaratri Greetings
On the occasion of Maha Sivaratri, Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan extended greetings to the people of Telangana and the country.
On the occasion of Maha Sivaratri, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan extended greetings to the people of Telangana and the country.
The Chief Minister said that spiritual activities like fasting, staying awake all the night, and performing pujas and abhishekams by chanting the name of Lord Siva with devotion, would bring self-purification and transformation in everyone.
He appealed to people to celebrate Sivratri with devotion and fervour. He also said that he was praying for Lord Shiva's compassion upon all the people. and that he wished that the life of everyone would flourish with the blessings of Mahadev.
Governor Soundararajan echoed similar sentiments. "I extend my special greetings and wishes to the people of Telangana. Maha Sivaratri, the night of wakefulness, is essentially the Night of Awakening. It is one of the most important festivals for millions of devotees of the most compassionate god Lord Shiva. Maha Sivaratri is believed to have cosmic importance, and is observed with fervour and devotion. May this auspicious occasion inspire noble thoughts of love, affection, amity and brotherhood in all of us. I once again convey my warm greetings to all the people on this auspicious occasion," she said.
