Telangana Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy said that the State government was taking all necessary steps to eradicate dengue in the State.
Replying to a question raised by the BJP member N V S S Prabhakar in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Reddy said that the State government had ordered the installation of platelet equipments in 12 regions in the State.
Admitting that dengue cases increased rapidly in the past few months in the State, Reddy said that four persons died due to dengue including two in Hyderabad. He said that the government had taken up initiatives to eradicate mosquitoes and the diseases caused due to the insects under the Arogyasri scheme.
