TDP senior leader Gali Muddu Krishnamma Naidu, on Monday, accused Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy of sabotaging the agitation for Samaikyandhra which had been launched by different organisations - including the APNGOs.
Speaking to media representatives at the Telugu Desam Legislature Party office premises, Muddu alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy has ended the Samaikyandhra agitation at the instruction of AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
He said that had the APNGOs strike continued for some more time, then the southern power grid would have collapsed, thereby plunging the whole of south India into darkness, and that this would have forced the Centre to reconsider its decision on the Telangana issue.
He alleged that the Chief Minster was enacting the drama of resigning and forming a new party on Sonia Gandhi's instructions.
Muddu also alleged that the Chief Minister was clearing several controversial files by continuing to exert the power of his position.
Referring to the remarks of former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir wherein he had threatened to slap TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for the latter's remarks against Sonia Gandhi, Muddu said that Shabbir Ali's remarks had been extremely derogatory and provocative. (INN)
