Former PCC president D Srinivas, on Sunday, accused TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu of trying to take false credit for the formation of the Telangana state.
Speaking to media personnel at his residence, Srinivas alleged that Naidu had created several obstacles in the formation of Telangana, although he had claimed that he had submitted letters supporting the statehood demand.
However, Srinivas said, now, after the completion of the bifurcation process, Naidu was trying to take credit for the formation of Telangana. He said people were fully aware how Naidu had tried to deceive the Telangana cause.
Srinivas also accused N Kiran Kumar Reddy of trying to suppress the Telangana formation process using the power of his position as the then-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
?However, Kiran's efforts failed due to Congress president Sonia Gandhi's firm resolve to form the Telangana state,? said Srinivas.
He also said that Kiran Kumar Reddy had even tried to incite the Seemandhra youth to attempt self-immolation as protest against the bifurcation of the state. (INN)
