Naidu Calls Seemandhra Result People's Victory
Naidu thanked the Seemandhra people for voting for the TDP-BJP combine, and said that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure the new state's overall development.
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Friday promised to develop the Seemandhra region to into another Singapore.
Speaking to media persons after the declaration of results, Naidu thanked the people for voting in favour of the TDP-BJP combine.
He described the TDP's victory as a "people victory", and assured that he would fulfill all the electoral promises.
He said that the people of Seemandhra had given him a big responsibility of rebuilding the new State, and that he would leave no stone unturned to ensure its overall development.
Naidu also expressed satisfaction over the party's performance in Telangana where the TDP-BJP combine won a sizeable number of seats.
Naidu, who was the Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004, also announced that he would be the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and would soon announce the date of taking oath.
