SBI, Power Employees Donate One Day Salaries To CMRF
Employees of the two entities donated Rs 5 crore and Rs 15 crore respectively to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

All engineers, employees, artisans and pensioners of Telangana's power utilities under the aegis of the Telangana Power Employees JAC today donated one day of their basic salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
In the last few days, heavy rains and floods in Telangana have affected the livelihood of thousands of people. In this regard, the Telangana Power Employees' JAC today submitted a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to donate approximately Rs 15 crore to the CMRF, including the basic salary of one day of September 2024.
Musharraf Ali Farooqui, Chairman & Managing Director, TGSPDCL; and Varun Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, TG NPDCL; presented the cheque in the presence of JAC Chairman G Sai Babu, Convener P Ratnakar Rao and Co-Convener PBC Reddy.
Elsewhere, the State Bank of India (SBI) donated one day's salary of its Telangana employees, amounting to Rs 5 crore, to the CMRF.
SBI representatives, including CGM Rajesh Kumar, DGM Jithender Sharma and AGM Durga Prasad, called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence and handed over a cheque for the amount to him.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka was also present.
