Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali on Friday warned the South Central Railway of stern action if it failed to prevent train accidents in Telangana.
Speaking to media persons after visiting the students injured in yesterday's accident in the Medak district, at Yashoda Hospital, Mahmood Ali said that the SCR should feel accountable for people's safety. By just shifting the blame onto someone else, the Railways could not skip its responsibility of protecting people's lives.
He said that the Telangana government would not tolerate such incidents in the future.
Mahmood Ali informed that three ministers - Nayani Narasimha Reddy, T Harish Rao and Padma Rao - were co-ordinating with all the departments and others concerned over the tragic Medak mishap. (INN)
