T-Decision After Unanimous Approval: Digvijay
Digvijay Singh says that the decision to bifurcate AP was taken only after approval of all Congressmen. He calls the Seemandhra Congress leaders protest as incorrect.
AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Thursday tried in vain, to convince the Seemandhra Congress leaders that their protest over the Congress Working Committee's resolution on Telangana was incorrect.
Talking to reporters in Delhi, Digvijay Singh said, "The CWC took the decision after all Congressmen unanimously assured that they would abide by the decision of the High Command. The Telangana decision was taken only after completing a consultation process."
Digvijay Singh also clarified that the A K Antony Committee was set up "not to reverse the CWC decision, but to address the issues arising out of the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh". He also made it clear that the Congress High Command was committed to the formation of teh Telangana state. (INN)
