The Congress will take a decision on its stand on the Telangana issue after the party's plenary session on December 16.
Talking to reporters after reviewing the arrangements for the session at L B Stadium on Thursday, PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana said that the party would discuss and finalise the decision on the Telangana issue to be conveyed during the all-party meeting on December 28, after the party's plenary session.
He said that the representatives for the all-party meeting would also be shortlisted after the plenary session.
Botsa also said that the meeting of the Congress Coordination Committee, scheduled to be held on December 15, has been postponed. He said that the meeting was postponed because Union Health Minister and AP Congress affairs in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad would be busy with an event in New Delhi. The new date for the Coordination Committee's meeting will also be decided later, he saud.
The PCC chief also denied reports of groupism within the Congress. He said Congress leaders were working unitedly to take the schemes of the state and central governments to the doorsteps of the people. However, he said that several issues, including minor differences among leaders, would be thoroughly discussed in the party's plenary session.
Former minister and Coordination Committee member Mohammad Ali Shabbir, MLC M S Prabhakar and other leaders were also present. (INN)
