Former minister and PCC OBC Department chairman Dr. J Chitranjan Das on Thursday requested the Congress High Command to let Botsa Satyanarayana continue in the post of PCC President.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Chitranjan Das praised Botsa for "effectively" handling the situation after the Congress Working Committee announced its decision on Telangana. He said that although Botsa had expressed the concerns of Seemandhra people, he did not revolt against the party. "Further, he did not create any obstacles in the formation of the Telangana state," he said.
Chitranjan Das also demanded that OBCs should be given 50% representation in the allocation of tickets and posts in both the states. (INN)
