The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) said that they would stage protest programs for 10 consecutive days against the State and Central governments' anti-people policies.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday along with former Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, and official spokesperson Shravan and other leaders, Congress leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah said that the TPCC would conduct a "Jan Avedan Samelan" in the constituencies from February 19 to 28, Congress leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah told the media, and also said that extensive meetings would be held on February 13. AICC General Secretary in-charge of the State Party affairs, Digvijay Singh, would participate in a public meeting to be held at Tandur on February 19, he said.
He targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said that they had completely failed to control the prices of essential goods or keep up poll promises. Modi was extending his support to corporate bigwigs at the cost of livelihood of the poor, he claimed, and said that KCR was emulating the PM in Telangana.
