Former minister and Congress MLA D Sridhar Babu today demanded that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao immediately implement the recommendations of the state's 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
In a letter to the chief minister, the former minister asked him to repeal the Contributory Pension Scheme and to revert to the older system at the earliest.
He also demanded that the CM announce 60% fitment for over nine lakh employees in the state, and enhance the retirement age of the employees as part of the implementation of the PRC.
In his letter, Babu reportedly also reminded the CM that he made a promise to implement the PRC on May 16, 2018, and said that this promise had still not been fulfilled.
He also pointed out that though the PRC had been asked to submit its reports within three months of its constitution, it only did so after a delay of thirty months.
The Congress leader also mailed a copy of his letter to the three-member committee, headed by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, that was constituted by the CM to look into the implementation of the PRC.
The TRS government has been the subject of
much censure after it "failed" to implement the 11th PRC in the state.
