With the party leadership making changes at the last minute to its candidates for the vacant MLC seats under the MLAs' quota, Congress leader Addanki Dayakar was once again disappointed.
The Congress high command gave a twist at the last minute and announced Mahesh Kumar Goud Bomma and Balmoori Venkat Narsing Rao as its candidates, despite it being
reported widely yesterday that it was Addanki Dayakar and Balmoori Venkat that had been selected.
In fact, it had been widely publicised in the media that a senior party leader from New Delhi had called Dayakar up and informed him that his name had been finalised and that he should be prepared to file his nomination.
Out of the blue, then, TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud, at the last minute, was selected.
AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal officially announced names of two candidates for the MLC postsr.
Meanwhile, Dayakar said that he would abide by the decision taken by the party, and would remain a loyal worker.
He also said that he was condemning the negative news that was being spread against him on the social media.
