The Congress has finalised the names of the candidates for two MLC seats in Telangana.
According to party sources, Addanki Dayakar and Balmuri Venkat have been selected as candidates for the seats under the MLAs quota.
Senior leaders of the party from New Delhi called Dayakar and Venkat and gave them the information over the phone.
The last date for nominations is January 18, and the elections will be held on January 29. The victory of the Congress candidates is almost guaranteed.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the Congress has finalised the names of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M Kodandaram and The Siasat Daily editor Amer Ali Khan as the MLC candidates for the seats under the Governor's quota.
