Leader Of Opposition in the Telangana State Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today claimed that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was forming an alliance between the TRS and the BJP at the Centre by supporting the demonetization move.
Speaking to the media at the CLP office today, Shabbir Ali said, "The Telangana CM is giving his silent consent to the Centre. The TRS and the BJP are getting closer and look like they will form an alliance soon."
He also claimed that the Chief Minister was supporting the Modi-led government even as political bigwigs of the Shiv Sena, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Kerala CM and other non-BJP Chief Ministers were openly opposing the ban.
Shabbir Ali dubbed KCR an opportunist and a sycophant who cared more about power than about people's hardships post-demonetization. The Congress leader claimed that KCR's political opportunism was bared after his meeting with Prime Minister Narender Modi at Delhi where he had only sought the increase of Assembly segments, to accommodate all the MLAs who defected from the TDP and the Congress to the TRS, and secure his political future instead of urging relief for the common man who was facing hardships for the last three weeks due to lack hard cash.
The Congress leader said that even 12 days after the ban, KCR has not dared to come out openly against the Centre and highlight the travails of the common man like how CMs Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal did.
