Leader Of Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir demanded that KCR raise his voice on the effect of the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 notes on the common man, immediately.
Expressing doubts on the Chief Minister's alleged dullness these days, Shabbir Ali said that it was improper for the Chief Minister to direct his MPs to remain neutral on the issue.
"It seems that there is some sort of understanding between the Centre and KCR," he claimed and demanded that the Chief Minister reveal the reason behind him directing his MPs to maintain a neutral stance in Parliament on the demonetization issue.
Later speaking to the media at the Assembly Media Hall on Thursday, Shabbir Ali asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi whether the people who were waiting in long queues before banks, ATMs and post offices for money were corrupt, too. He also asked Modi why corporate tycoons including the Ambanis, Adanis, TATAs and GVKs were not standing in queues. He also asked Modi why SBI waived off Vijay Mallya's arrears.
He asked the State and the Centre to solve the problems of the common man before anything else.
