TRS MP Vinod Kumar today accused the Congress leaders of trying to sabotage development in the State by opposing irrigation projects.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, the TRS MP alleged that the Congress was bent on not allowing the State government to take up welfare and development works in the State.
Talking about irrigation issues, Vinod said that there were still problems being faced by the families displaced by the Srisailam project.
"This government is however acquiring lands after making payments at the market rate, and the people will not believe the allegations of Congress leaders," the TRS MP said.
The State government had also completed the Bhakta Ramdas project within time schedule, he added.
Highlighting the other development and welfare programs of the State government, Vinod said that after the united State's bifurcation, the new Telangana government had faced a serious staff crunch, and had yet worked hard to provide 24-hour power supply.
He claimed that the Congress was just not able to digest the development works being taken up by the TRS government.
The aim of the TRS government was the welfare of the people, the MP asserted.
