Telangana CM KCR Reviews Power Situation

The government is exploring the possibilities of purchasing power from available resources. There have been positive responses from 2-3 places in this regard.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a meeting with the Chief Secretary and the CMD of GENCO held on Friday reviewed the power position in the State.

Principal Secretary (Energy) Suresh Chanda has left for New Delhi to stay there for a few days to discuss the situation with government of India officials. He has already discussed it with the GOI Power Secretary as well as with NTPC authorities.

According to a CMO release, the Telangana government is making all efforts and taking necessary steps to see that the people are not put to any inconvenience.

The government is also exploring the possibilities of purchasing power from available resources. There have been positive responses from 2-3 places in this regard. (INN)
