Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao left for the national capital to attend an inter-State council meeting to be addressed by the Prime Minister on Saturday in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The CM will meet with the Prime Minister and ask him to help speed up the High Court bifurcation and the implementation of the A P Reorganisation Act, and seek funds for the flagship programs in the State.
Rao, who has apparently been ranked the best performing CM in India for all his ambitious schemes in a private survey conducted by the Modi government, is likely to invite the PM to launch one of them, Mission Bhagiratha.
Rao is also expected to ask the Prime Minister to direct the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to move quickly on the HC bifurcation and to avoid conflicts in irrigation and water projects.
KCR is also likely to meet with other Union ministers including Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Uma Bharati, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Anil Madhav Dhave to seek their assistance in addressing the problems relevant to their portfolios.
He will also hold a meeting with his Party MPs and prepare them for their strategy in the upcoming Parliament monsoon session.
