Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, along with a delegation, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official residence in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Chief Minister submitted a memorandum comprising 21 proposals related to Telangana.
He sought Special Status for Telangana, National Project status for Pranahita-Chevella, a 4000 MW power plant and a Rs 6,000 crore financial package.
He also sought the Prime Minister's intervention in resolving the energy crisis in the State.
The Prime Minister reportedly assured KCR that he would consider the proposals at the earliest.
He also urged KCR to maintain friendly relations with Andhra Pradesh and resolve the issues between the two Telugu-speaking States through dialogue. (INN)
